Which of these items do you think I would need more?

I received a pack ‘n play playard but I am unsure if I will really use it, in your experience did you use yours a lot?
I am wanting to trade the playard for a glider rocker since I am plotting to breastfeed and I figured i would get more use out of it.
Which of the two items do you reckon I would need more?

i had a pack n play, but i really did not use it. everywhere i went to visit people had a crib set up, so i did not need it. if you plot to visit people a lot it will come in handy, but other than that there is really no need. a rocker but you would use all the time. several times a day.
I used my pack and play A LOT more than I thought I would. I never used a rocker but I only breast fed for a couple of weeks.
I have never had need for a pack and play and I breastfed comfortably on the couch and in bed. I’m not a huge believer in “must haves” for the baby’s room. I would trade the pack and play in for a swing or a bouncy vibrating seat.
The pack and play can come in handy to make sure your kid does not wander off while you make a quick trip to the bathroom or are trying to clean the house. Probably something you won’t use for the first 6 months or so.
I don’t reckon a play yard is nearly as expensive as a glider/rocker. If you have a bassinet already I would get rid of the play yard. If you plot on traveling a play yard comes in handy. Once the baby starts to crawl it will need a play pen. But you have a while until that happens. I never used a glider/rocker. My son was never a cuddler. haha. If you are set on getting the rocker then get it.
Hmmm that’s tough. It will depend a lot on whether you can breastfeed. My sister was desperate to nurse but then the baby wouldn’t latch and after a month of tears (from everyone) she gave up, so if she had a rocker it would have sat there unused. Most of my friends have Pack n Play, and they use it for traveling to the in-laws for the weekend, that sort of thing, because it doubles as a crib. Also, if you have people who visit your house with dogs, it’s the safest way to keep everyone pleased and unstressed!
keep your pack-n-play. that sucker works from birth to like 2 years or more. it’s fantastic for travel, outside, 2nd bed downstairs. you will use it a lot more than a rocking chair. when i breastfed, it was usually in bed, on the couch, leaning against a counter, in the backyard, out somwhere…keep your playpen!
Personally, it really depends on whether or not you will be traveling a lot with your child. My husband and I regularly make trips out of town for small overnights and need somewhere for the baby to sleep. So we bought a Pack N Play. I have an armchair that we just recently bought for me to breastfeed in. If I find that I would rather have a glider chair, then we will go out and buy it. So my recommendation … is the Pack N Play if you and your husband go on overnight trips or stay at friends houses for long periods of time.
If you are on the go and the baby will be at the sitters and what not while you are at work (like my situation) I wouls definatley keep the playyard.
also glider rockers are NOT that expensiv.e….they are really alot cheaper than play yards that is.
If your going to get a glider rocker buy one off of walmart.com they are cheap there, thats where i got mine.
and i got my play yard at Babies R Us…
hope i helped.
